cytitis

Definition
Cystitis is an inflammation of the bladder causing a burning sensation when urinating, blood in the urine, pain and fever. Cystitis is a common disease in women, but can occur in men.

Generally, cystitis is cured in a few days, but in some cases the infection becomes chronic and can cause more severe disease, for example, a kidney infection. Men are not as vulnerable to cystitis and women, because they have the urethra (the tube that carries urine from the bladder out) longer, which prevents bacterial infection.

Signs and symptoms
The main symptoms are manifested in cystitis:
* Burning with urination
* Frequent urination
* Desire to urinate even though the bladder is empty
* Pain in the pubic region
* Pus in urine or pus discharge from the urethra

If cystitis is not treated immediately, it can cause complications that manifest as:
* Chill
* Fever
* Blood in urine
* Back pain indicate a kidney infection
