4. Beer makes you fat. FALSE. It is well known myth of the ‘beer belly’, however, is quite unfair to this ancient beverage made from grain. In fact, most nutritionists agree that moderate consumption of beer is beneficial to health.

So much so that recently has been included with the wine, the healthy food pyramid. A pair of rods we provide immediate hydration, folic acid, fiber and antioxidants, in addition to help improve our cardiovascular health.

It is also diuretic, cleansing and has only 90 calories, less than a cola or orange. With the beer is as with everything, in excessive doses, of course fat.

Do not believe all popular proverbs and old traditions: here we bring you the truths and lies about the world of nutrition, to learn to eat really healthy.

1. Coffee dehydrates. FALSE. There is no medical study showing that coffee dehydrate. It is true that caffeine is a diuretic and in high doses can increase visits to the bathroom, but no more than when we exceed drinking water.

There are people that the coffee they produce a diuretic effect and even a laxative, but dehydrate you have to take many cafes. Increasingly, scientific research shows that coffee, in the proper (2 or 3 cups a day), it is beneficial to health.

It is a powerful stimulant that activates our perception and intellectual activity, besides being an antioxidant, reduce headache and be very rich in minerals such as potassium, calcium and magnesium.
