Fat intake is essential for the body. Among them is evidence that healthy fats are called unsaturated fats, group belonging Omega 3 fatty acids and oleic acid.

What is Omega 3?

They are fatty acids that belong to the group of acids called “unsaturated.” Polyunsaturated fatty acids Omega 3 (EPA / DHA), which are mostly found in oily fish and some fortified foods, are essential to prevent cardiovascular disease, various cancers, inflammatory diseases, lung and skin.

They are also essential during pregnancy and lactation for the proper development of nerve function and, in general, many other bodily functions. Among them, there is another type of acid with numerous beneficial effects for our health: oleic acid (monounsaturated fatty acid), which is predominant in olive oil.
